Frequently asked questions
Practical answers about how the platform behaves, what happens to your uploads and how your data is handled.
- Is VarX MockTests free?
- Yes. Attempting the published mock tests, generating a practice test from your own PDF and viewing your results are all free. Running the platform is paid for by advertising shown around the content, not inside the answering area of an active test.
- Do I need an account?
- You can browse the test library and read every information page without signing in. An account is needed to actually attempt a test, because each answer, the attempt clock and your result have to be stored against a user. Sign-in is by Google or email and password.
- Are these official exam papers?
- No. Everything on the platform is unofficial practice material written from publicly available syllabi and past-paper patterns, or uploaded by users. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to any examination authority, recruitment board, university or government department. Exam names are used only to describe the syllabus a practice test follows.
- What happens when the timer runs out?
- Nothing is wiped. The paper stays open, you can finish the questions you were working on, and the platform records the actual time you pressed submit. Your result then shows how far past the allotted duration you went — which is usually the most useful number on the page for a first attempt.
- Will I lose my answers if my connection drops?
- No. Answers are saved as you select them rather than only at submission, so a refresh, a dead battery or a dropped mobile connection leaves your saved answers intact. Reopen the attempt and you continue from where you were.
- How accurate is the PDF-to-test conversion?
- It works well on clean, typed papers with clearly labelled options and a visible answer key, and noticeably worse on low-resolution scans, handwriting and multi-column layouts. That is why every generated test opens in an editor first: check the questions and especially the answer keys before you attempt it. More detail on the PDF page.
- Who can see the test I created from my PDF?
- Only your account, unless you deliberately switch on the unlisted share link. Private tests are not listed in the public library, are not in our sitemap and are not returned to anonymous visitors. Shared tests are reachable by anyone with the link but are marked noindex so search engines do not list them.
- Can I upload any PDF I like?
- Only material you own or have permission to use. Copyrighted books, paid coaching material, leaked or confidential papers and files containing other people's personal data must not be uploaded. See the copyright and user content policy and the takedown process.
- Is my email address shown to other users?
- No. Email addresses are never rendered anywhere on the site. Leaderboards, shared test pages and admin-facing lists use your display name only.
- How do I report a wrong answer key?
- Use the feedback box on the result page immediately after an attempt, or email support@app7.tech with the test name and question number. Corrections to our own tests are made in place.
- Can I delete my data?
- Yes. Tests you created can be deleted from My tests at any time. To remove your account along with its profile and attempt history, email support@app7.tech from the address on the account. What we store and for how long is set out in the privacy policy.
